Minister Mitov meets with the Chairman of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs Elmar Brok

Minister of Foreign Affairs Daniel Mitov met with Elmar Brok, Chairman of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs. The talks focused on the migration crisis in Europe, the situation in Syria and Libya, and the EU-Turkey agreement. Minister Mitov discussed with Mr. Brok the results of the recent meeting of the foreign and interior ministers in Thessaloniki.
"Bulgaria is a stable partner and we have always been protecting and we continue to protect Europe's external border," Minister Mitov said. Among the other topics of conversation was the readiness of Bulgaria to join the Schengen area, Europe's energy security and the situation in neighboring Republic of Macedonia.
