Bosnia and Herzegovina submits EU membership application

The Republic of Bulgaria welcomes Bosnia and Herzegovina's application for EU membership, which was submitted on February 15, 2016.
The EU membership application represents the consensus in the society of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the country’s European integration. The Dutch Presidency of the Council of the EU received the application and expressed the positive approach and the EU’s commitment to the country.
Bulgaria consistently supports the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina and will continue to share its experience and expertise in matters of European integration.
The Republic of Bulgaria stands behind all decisions that will contribute to ensuring security, stability and prosperity in the region of Southeast Europe.
