Minister Daniel Mitov expressed condolences to his Turkish counterpart Feridun Sinirlioğlu on the tragic events in Ankara today. The Bulgarian Foreign Minister emphasized that Bulgaria strongly condemns terrorism and opposes its use as a means of achieving any goals.

The full text of the letter to Minister Sinirlioğlu

"Dear Mr. Sinirlioğlu,

On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria and on my behalf I would like to express my sincere condolences to the families and relatives of the victims of today's bomb blasts during a peace rally in the capital Ankara. The Bulgarian people categorically and resolutely oppose terrorism as a means of achieving any goals! Our country strongly condemns all acts of cruelty and violence against innocent civilians and calls for solidarity, cooperation and unity in the fight against terrorism. We are convinced that the organizers and perpetrators of this criminal act will be detected and will be justly convicted."
