Ambassador Katya Todorova presented her credentials to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe

The newly appointed Permanent Representative of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg Ambassador Katya Todorova presented her credentials to the Secretary General of the Organization Thorbjørn Jagland. The official ceremony was held on 5 October.

After the ceremony Ambassador Todorova and Thorbjørn Jagland discussed the Bulgarian presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe (November 2015 - May 2016). The talks focused on the upcoming visit of the Secretary General to Sofia and the 126th session of the Committee of Ministers in May 2016.

Ambassador Todorova reaffirmed Bulgaria’s readiness to contribute to the implementation of the activities of the Council of Europe aimed at promoting the fundamental values of the Organization - human rights, democracy and the rule of law.
