The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria has granted clearance to a Russian Federation aircraft to cross the airspace of the Republic of Bulgaria on September 7. The Russian side has declared that the purpose of the flight is to transport diplomatic personnel. Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry has no grounds for refusal and it has issued clearance in coordination with the other competent authorities.
The flight from September 7 is not associated with the refused clearance for Russian military transport aircrafts to fly through the Bulgarian airspace on a route from the Russian Federation to Syria.
