Meeting of the Foreign Minister with the President of the Republic of Macedonia

Within the framework of his working visit to the Republic of Macedonia, Minister Mitov held e meeting with President Gjorge Ivanov on June 14. The conversation took place in a frank friendly atmosphere.
Daniel Mitov expressed strong concern over the political crisis in the neighboring country and the need to conduct comprehensive reforms in order to return the Republic of Macedonia on its path of European integration. For his part, President Ivanov expressed readiness to use all his constitutional prerogatives to achieve a lasting solution.
Minister Mitov reaffirmed Bulgaria's support for the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of the Republic of Macedonia and stressed the need to implement the necessary conditions.
They discussed also the options for development of the bilateral relations and the consequent need of signing the Treaty of friendship and good-neighborliness between the two countries.
