This will be von der Leyen's last speech in the current legislative term before the European elections in 2024. The ministers of the EU member states are also expected to be present in the European Parliament Chamber.
During her visit to Strasbourg, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel will pay attention and hold a number of meetings in the Council of Europe. She will hold talks with the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Despina Chatzivassiliou-Tsovilis, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Marija Pejčinović Burić and the President of the European Court of Human Rights, Síofra O'Leary.
