Minister Nickolay Mladenov met with ambassadors accredited to Bulgaria

Nickolay Mladenov briefed ambassadors accredited in Sofia on the procedures in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria that follow the resignation of the Government that the National Assembly today voted to approve.
“The government decided to resign after several extremely unpleasant incidents during the civil unrest of recent days. There are issues that need to be urgently addressed in order to meet the legitimate demands of the people,” Minister Mladenov said.
“Together we have made a great effort. Thanks to all our partners, with whom we co-operated actively not only in the development of bilateral relations but also in the pursuit of policies that are of importance to us all. I hope that the relations between our countries will be as active in the future, which is of great importance to Bulgaria,” he told the foreign ambassadors.
