The Minister of Foreign Affairs Svetlan Stoev is leaving for Lisbon, where on May 26 and 27, 2021 he will participate in an informal meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the EU member states ("Gymnich" format).
The forum is traditionally hosted by the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU and chaired by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell. The three working sessions during the informal Gymnich meeting will discuss EU-Africa relations, unresolved conflicts in the Eastern Neighborhood and the partnership with the Indo-Pacific region. The forum will also include a working lunch with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, focusing on the situation in the Middle East.
