Serbia thanks Bulgaria for its support
07 March 2012 Diplomatic CalendarDeputy Foreign Minister Dimitar Tzantchev today met his Serbian counterpart, Assistant Foreign Minister Zdravko Ponoš, who is on a working visit to Sofia.
Mr Ponoš thanked Bulgaria for its support for Serbia’s European integration. The highlights of the discussion included the topics of co-operation between Bulgaria and Serbia at the United Nations and in other international and regional organisations, and the situation of the Bulgarian minority in Serbia.
At the most recent EU External Relations Council, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nickolay Mladenov made a statement in support of Serbia being granted EU candidate member country status.
