IMPORTANT: Due to extremely high temperatures during the summer in several regions of Greece, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, and North Macedonia, there is an increased risk of wildfires. We advise Bulgarian citizens that any fires may lead to the closure of major roads, changes to public transportation schedules, and travel disruptions. It is recommended that travelers and residents in these countries monitor the current traffic conditions, follow the instructions of local authorities, and, if possible, avoid affected or high-risk areas. In the event of an emergency, follow safety instructions and contact the nearest diplomatic or consular mission of the Republic of Bulgaria.
