Producer and presenter of the Bulgarian language radio program at SBS - Australia
I arrived in Australia in the early 1990s with my family. In Bulgaria, I was a TV journalist who did not want to serve the country’s communist regime at that time. My passion for sharing inspiring human stories and finding the truths about the world we live in lead me to SBS radio. For over 20 years, I have been the presenter of the Bulgarian language program on SBS. Providing objective and unbiased news and current affairs to the Bulgarian community is one of my main aims as a broadcaster. I also enjoy enormously the challenge of presenting exciting and moving stories of guests in the studio. The most enticing for my audience are life changing stories and acts of compassion. Life in Australia - the country of many opportunities, is an endless source of beautiful and inspirational material for radio broadcast.
The story is from the book “Bulgarians in Melbourne” (2017) from Radost Racheva, who is also author of the photographs, provided pro bono for the project.
