On 30 December 2021 the Consul General Vladislav Spasov met Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of the Academic Affairs Council of Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS).

The CIIE-2021 covered 366 000 square meters, featuring six exhibition areas including food and agricultural products, automobiles, intelligent industry and information technology, consumer goods, medical equipment and healthcare products, trade and services. Nearly 3 000 exhibitors from 127 countries and regions attended the business exhibition.

The 21st China International Fair for Investment and Trade took place in Xiamen, Fujian province on 8-11 September 2021. Bulgaria participated with a booth set by the Consulate General in Shanghai. The Consul General of Bulgaria Mr. Vladislav Spasov gave a speech at the Fourth High-level Forum on “Belt and Road” Development and the Head of the Commercial Section of the Consulate General Mr. Kostadin Djatev presented Bulgarian start-ups at the Exchange meeting on Cross-border Cooperation. At matchmaking meetings, the Bulgarian investment environment was presented to the interested Chinese companies.

A naming ceremony for 31800DWT Lake Bulk Carrier MV “KOM” of Navigation Maritime Bulgare (NAVIBULGAR) was held on 20 August 2021 at Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co.

On July 8, 2021, the Consul General of Bulgaria in Shanghai Mr. Vladislav Spasov met the Deputy Director of Shanghai Foreign Affairs Office Mr. FU Jihong.
