Main information — satellite-based tolling system in Bulgaria
As from 1 March 2020, road vehicles with a total technically permissible maximum weight exceeding 3,5 tonnes circulating on paid road sections in Bulgaria will have to pay for their use distance-based road charges – toll. The toll replaces the electronic vignette for heavy vehicles and buses.

On December 9th 2019 the Consul General Ivan Anchev presented an award to Luis Narvaez, Strategic Project Director for the Office of Language and Cultural Education at the Chicago Public Schools, granted by the Association of Bulgarian Schools Abroad. Mr. Narvaez was honored to receive it as a mark of appreciation for his contribution to enlist the Bulgarian language in the Seal of Biliteracy program in 2017 as well as for his exceptional support in maintenance of the Bulgarian language and culture in Chicago.

First Volume of the historical book about the Bulgarian immigrants in Chicago entitled "Chicago - the Bulgarian City"
On October 22nd 2014 the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Chicago officially received for its library collection a copy of the First Volume of the historical book about the Bulgarian immigrants in Chicago entitled “Chicago - the Bulgarian City". The chronicles do reveal the development of the Bulgarian Immigrant Community in Chicago Metro-area from 1893 (the Columbian Exhibition and the visit to the city of the Bulgarian Author Aleko Konstantinov) until nowadays.
