Prof. Tomasz Grodzski, received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Warsaw, Mrs. Margarita Ganeva
On August 18, 2021, the President of the Senate of the Republic of Poland, Prof. Tomasz Grodzski, received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Warsaw, Mrs. Margarita Ganeva. During the talks the specific areas of mutual interest of the bilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation in the foreign policy and foreign economic areas, the development of the bilateral cultural and tourist exchange were touched upon, opinions were exchanged on current international topics, incl. cooperation within the EU, NATO, etc. regional initiatives. Issues from the domestic political agenda in both countries were discussed. The Bulgarian Ambassador expressed his conviction that the establishment of the Friendship Group with the Republic of Poland in the new Bulgarian Parliament will be among the priorities. Ambassador Ganeva expressed gratitude to the Polish side for the good reception and attitude of Bulgarian citizens living, studying and working in Poland, and both interlocutors noted with satisfaction the smooth functioning of the Bulgarian community in Poland and the Polish community in Bulgaria.

Celebrating the day of the Bulgarian Diplomacy
On the occasion of the Day of Bulgarian Diplomacy, the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Poland honored the memory and merits of Krum Tsonkov, Trifon Puhlev, and Dimitar Ikonomov, who helped many Polish citizens avoid repression and persecution in the years 1939-1941.

Meeting between Ambassador Margarita Ganeva and Mr. Andrzej Gut-Mostowy, state secretary and Plenipotentiary of the Prime Minister for the Tourism sector and the promotion of the Polish brand
On 24 June 2021 was held a meeting in the Ministry of Development, Labour and Technologies in Warsaw between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Republic of Poland, Mrs. Margarita Ganeva and state secretary and Plenipotentiary of the Prime Minister for the Tourism sector and the promotion of the Polish brand, Mr. Andrzej Gut-Mostowy, initiated by the Bulgarian side. Mr. Nikolay Kostov, advisor in the Bulgarian Embassy and head of the National Tourist Representation was also present at the meeting.

Ambassador Margarita Ganeva’s Visit to Lomza
On the 14th of June 2021, Ambassador Margarita Ganeva visited the town Lomza at the invitation of the local Mayor. The occasion was the 603rd anniversary of Lomza being declared a town. On this occasion, representatives of the twin towns were also invited. From the Bulgarian side were present the mayor of Pavlikeni Mr. Emanuil Manolov and Mr. Doncho Zahariev from Tryavna. During the visit, the Bulgarian Ambassador was part of the country’s representation as a tourist destination, which took place in the Centre of Tourist and Cultural Activities in Loma. It was specially prepared by the National Representation for Tourism at the Embassy of Bulgaria in Warsaw. Ambassador Ganeva welcomed the representatives of the Polish tourist firms and media outlets. She also presented the perspectives for development in the bilateral relations in the field of tourism.

First online conference with representatives of polish tourist companies and agents
On the 9th of June 2021, the first online conference with representatives of polish tourist companies and agents was held in the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Warsaw. The meeting was opened by Ambassador Margarita Ganeva, who greeted the representatives of Polish tourist companies and gave a short presentation on the priorities of the Embassy’s work for establishing Bulgaria as a full-year tourist destination. It was underlined the significance of tourism’s role for the economy of the country and the place, which the Polish market occupies in the entry-sector tourism in Bulgaria, as well as our country’s preparation for assuring the health being and security of the tourists, planning to visit Bulgaria during the upcoming months.

Celebration of the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius in Warsaw
On May 24 - the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and Slavic literature, the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Warsaw and the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria organized a solemn celebration with the opening of a exhibition of the Cyril and Methodius Research Center at the Bulgarian Academy of the sciences.

Bulgaria and Poland will work together to increase investments in the region under the Three Seas initiative. This was agreed at a meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva and Beata Daszyńska, Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Investment Fund on the initiative "Three Seas".

Deputy Prime Minister Mariyana Nikolova opened a Bulgarian tourist office in Warsaw
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Mariyana Nikolova opened a Bulgarian tourist office in Warsaw, Poland. With the opening of the Bulgarian tourist office, the two countries will have the opportunity to intensify their mutual and fruitful cooperation and after 30 years Bulgaria will once again return to the Polish tourist market, Minister Nikolova said during the opening. The office was opened jointly with Andrzej Gut-Mostowy, State Secretary for Tourism at the Ministry of Development of Poland. Rafal Szlachta, Chairman of the Polish Tourist Organization, was also a guest at the event.
