As part of the events in honor of the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius on May 24, 2021, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Northern Macedonia in the spirit of the Treaty of Friendship, Good Neighborliness and Cooperation agreed countries, including those in Belgrade, Kiev, Prague and Warsaw, to celebrate together and with appropriate events this important holiday for our common history and for the culture of all Slavic peoples.

Deputy Prime Minister Mariyana Nikolova opened a Bulgarian tourist office in Warsaw

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Mariyana Nikolova opened a Bulgarian tourist office in Warsaw, Poland. With the opening of the Bulgarian tourist office, the two countries will have the opportunity to intensify their mutual and fruitful cooperation and after 30 years Bulgaria will once again return to the Polish tourist market, Minister Nikolova said during the opening. The office was opened jointly with Andrzej Gut-Mostowy, State Secretary for Tourism at the Ministry of Development of Poland. Rafal Szlachta, Chairman of the Polish Tourist Organization, was also a guest at the event.

On June 26 this year A ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw to honor Ambassador Emil Yalnazov with the high Polish state award - the Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit. A decree of President A. Duda was read, with which the ambassador was awarded the Order for his contribution to the development of friendly relations and cooperation between Poland and Bulgaria.

Meeting of Ambassador Emil Yalnazov with the President of the Polish Senate Tomasz Grodzki, in connection with the forthcoming departure from the country

On June 9 this year Ambassador Emil Jałnazow met with Senate President Tomasz Grodzki in the Polish Senate in connection with the end of the Ambassador's term. Issues of bilateral relations and co-operation between the two countries' parliaments were discussed during the talks. Marshal Tomasz Grodzki praised the excellent state of Polish-Bulgarian relations and the established high-level political cooperation and dialogue, based on the membership of both countries in NATO and the EU. Trade and economic cooperation, tourism and human contacts have risen in recent years, retaining their potential for development after the pandemic.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Petko Doуkov participated in the B-9 Ministerial Meeting (Bucharest Nine), which was held on March 10, 2020 in Vilnius, Lithuania. The meeting focused on the implementation of decisions contributing to the collective defense of NATO's eastern flank, and included an exchange of views on Russia, China, 5G information technology and security, NATO's role in the fight against terrorism and energy security.
