Meeting of Ambassador Emil Yalnazov with the President of the Polish Senate Tomasz Grodzki, in connection with the forthcoming departure from the country

On June 9 this year Ambassador Emil Jałnazow met with Senate President Tomasz Grodzki in the Polish Senate in connection with the end of the Ambassador's term. Issues of bilateral relations and co-operation between the two countries' parliaments were discussed during the talks. Marshal Tomasz Grodzki praised the excellent state of Polish-Bulgarian relations and the established high-level political cooperation and dialogue, based on the membership of both countries in NATO and the EU. Trade and economic cooperation, tourism and human contacts have risen in recent years, retaining their potential for development after the pandemic.
The visits of the Speaker of the National Assembly Mrs. Tsveta Karayancheva and her Deputy Mr. Emil Hristov in Warsaw in the period 2017-2019 were noted. T. Grodzki expressed interest and readiness to carry out his bilateral visit to Bulgaria after the normalization of the situation caused by from the Kovid-19 epidemic. For his part, the Bulgarian ambassador expressed hope that the activities of the friendship groups in the two parliaments would also be intensified in a timely manner. On behalf of the Polish Parliament, Mr. Grodzki praised the activities of the Bulgarian Ambassador to Poland during his four-year term and his concrete contribution to bilateral parliamentary cooperation. The celebration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries was especially marked. On the occasion of the forthcoming departure of the ambassador, his host presented him with the honorary medal of the Polish Senate - an award that is given for the merits of diplomats and foreign representatives.
