The Consul General Angel Angelov was elected member of the Executive Committee of the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York (SOFCNY) and vice president for Europe I regional group.

From June 25 to June 27, 2023 the 67th edition of the prestigious Summer Fancy Food Show took place in the Javits Center in Manhattan, New York. It is the largest specialty food show in North America, with a focus on presenting food products that impress with their quality, taste and uniqueness. The show gives manufacturers the opportunity to present their products to buyers from the US, Canada, Europe and Asia.

On June 24, 2023, the 2022-2023 cultural season at the Consulate General ended with a piano recital by 15 students between the ages of 6 and 15, who are studying piano under the guidance of the young and talented Bulgarian pianist and composer Lora Al-Ahmad and of the Serbian pianist Aleksandar Hadzievski.

From June 16 to 18, 2023, the traditional end-of-year tent camp of Gergana School in New York, which has been running for nine years, was held in Stokes State, New Jersey.

On June 3, 2023, the traditional annual Bulgarian festival organized by the Bulgarian Cultural Center for Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware was held in the Philadelphia area to celebrate the Day of the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture. The festival is one of the largest events of the Bulgarian community from the region and contributes to the popularization of Bulgarian culture and traditions among the people living in these states.

On June 5, 2023, the Consulate General in New York hosted a reception organized by the Teach for Bulgaria educational initiative with the support of the America for Bulgaria Foundation. The event was held in the context of the priorities of the Consulate General to support Bulgarian education in the Northeastern states and in Bulgaria.

On June 2, 2023, the Consulate General hosted the graduation ceremony for the graduates of Hristo Botev School in New York. The memory of the great Bulgarian poet and revolutionary and patron of the school Hristo Botev was also honored. The celebration was attended by teachers, students and parents of the graduates.
