The Consul General of Bulgaria in New York Angel Angelov, visited the Bulgarian Sunday School in Nantucket, Massachusetts on October 8, 2023.

On October 7, 2023, the Consul General of Bulgaria in New York, Mr. Angel Angelov, visited the Bulgarian school in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, which is a branch of the St. St. Cyril and Methodius School in Boston. It has been Mr. Angelov's second visit to the school since in-person classes resumed in the spring of 2023 after a three-year hiatus during the pandemic.

On October 3, 2023, the Consul General Mr. Angel Angelov was honored as a guest at a breakfast for the diplomatic corps in New York on the occasion of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, held at the Park East Synagogue. The event was hosted by Rabbi Arthur Schneier, president of the Appeal of Conscience Foundation.

On October 2, 2023, Columbia University hosted the New York premiere of Veselin Dimanov's documentary "Morality is Goodness", dedicated to the life and work of Prof. Christian Takov.

On September 27, 2023, a concert by Theodosii Spassov Folk Quintet was held in New York. The quintet was invited by the Embassy of Bulgaria in the US to perform in the country in order to mark the 120th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and the US.

On September 22, 2023 the Consulate General hosted a reception on the occasion of the Independence Day of Bulgaria. Guest of honor was the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria Ms. Mariya Gabriel. She congratulated the Bulgarian community in the New York area with the Independence Day and spoke with dozens of Bulgarians and their families.

On September 10, 2023, Gergana School in New York opened its 20th anniversary school year. The celebration of the beginning of the school year was accompanied by the performance “The Three Fairies and the Sleeping Beauty” by the children’s vocal and theater formation “Talasumche”, based in Bulgaria.

On September 12, 2023 the Consul General Mr. Angel Angelov met with representatives of B'nei B'rith at the Consulate General. The meeting was part of the organization's initiative to get acquainted its young leaders with the activities of the foreign diplomatic missions in New York.

On July 25, 2023, the Mayor of New York City Eric Adams hosted a reception celebrating Eastern European cultural heritage, which took place at the historic Gracie Mansion Conservancy.
