Тhe embassy in Islamabad celebrated May 24th
On the occasion of 24 May – Day of the Holy Brothers St. Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian education and culture, and of the Slavic literature, the Embassy of Bulgaria in Islamabad hosted a musical event with the participation of the popular Bulgarian kaval player Zhivko Vasilev. The event was attended by Pakistan Foreign Office officials, including Additional Secretary Europe Dr. Israr Hussain and Director General Foreign Service Academy Ambassador Zahid Nasrullah Khan, foreign Ambassadors and other members of the Diplomatic Corps in Islamabad, as well as Pakistani representatives of the culture and academic circles.

Signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding for the implementation of the first EUNIC cluster project in Pakistan
The Ambassador of Bulgaria in Islamabad Irena Gancheva participated in the MoU signing ceremony for the first ever project of the EUNIC Cluster in Pakistan - „Heritage Live - Music of Pakistan“. The event, which was held at the Residence of the Austrian Ambassador in Islamabad on 10 February 2022, was attended by Heads of Mission and diplomats from EUMS embassies and the EU Delegation, as well as by representatives of Pakistani partner institutions.

On 29 September 2021 the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Islamabad officially joined EUNIC Cluster in Pakistan. The membership mandate has been granted to the Embassy by the State Institute for Culture at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria in its capacity as full member of EUNIC.
