During a visit in the port city of Karachi, major trade center of Pakistan, Ambassador Irena Gancheva held meetings with representatives of leading economic and business institutions – the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP). The discussions were focused on identifying areas with good potential for further development of the business contacts, trade exchanges and investment cooperation between the two countries, including agriculture, food and food processing industry, IT technologies, transport, machine building, chemical industry, etc. Both sides expressed readiness for regular exchange of information related to the abovementioned spheres, as well as for enhancement of the direct contacts between the Bulgarian and the Pakistani business in order to better utilize the existing opportunities for trade and economic cooperation.
