A “Night of Bulgarian Music” took place in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, on 27 January 2024. The event was organized by Bulgarians living in the Chinese port city.

The program included piano performances by Mr. Vladimir Tzanev and Ms. Evgenia Goranova-Bermudez, graduates of the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pantcho Vladigerov” and the Academy of Music, Dance and Visual Arts “Prof. Asen Diamandiev” – Plovdiv, respectively. The Bulgarian and Chinese audience admired the vocal performance of “One Bulgarian Rose” by Mrs. Diane Gallardo de Tzanev.

In his address at the event the Consul General Vladislav Spasov underlined that in 2024 we celebrate the 75^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and China. He drew attention to some of the most popular Bulgarian export products presented at the Ningbo International Expo Center – the venue of the concert.

The Director of Central and Eastern European Division of the Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Commerce Mr. Yu Haidong spoke at the event about Bulgaria-Ningbo relations, including the commemoration in 2024 of the 20^th anniversary of the establishment of sistership relations between the cities of Varna and Ningbo.
