The 6^th China International Import Expo (CIIE-2023) is taking place in Shanghai from 5^th to 10^th November 2023. For the first time the Association for Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries (APACCCEEC) at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Bulgaria, led by its Director Dr. Momchil Stanishev, organized the participation at the Expo of companies from Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC), viz. Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and Slovakia. They are specialized in the production of wine, alcoholic beverages and soft drinks, honey and bee products, cosmetics, healthy foods and a variety of canned foods. Bulgarian food importers on the Chinese market are also represented. Accordingly, there are two pavilions of APACCCEEC, respectively at the Food and agricultural products section, and the Consumer goods section at CIIE-2023.

During the CIIE-2023 the Consul General Vladislav Spasov talked with the Vice Mayer of Shanghai Municipal Peoples’ Government Mr. Chen Jie. He participated at the 16^th Belt and Road Eco-Agriculture and Food Safety Forum, organized by the State Administration for Market Regulation and presented Bulgarian yoghurt and Bulgarian yoghurt starter cultures. The Consul General and the Director of APACCCEEC presented our country at the Dialogue on China-CEEC Green Development Cooperation. The Dialogue was organized by the Ministry of Commerce of China and Ningbo Municipal People’s Government, Zhejiang province.  

154 countries participate at the CIIE-2023. Over 3 400 exhibitors and nearly 410 000 professional visitors have registered for the event.
