The 2nd China-CEEC Conference on Technology Cooperation and Exchange took place in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, on 19 October 2023. It was organized by the Department of International Cooperation of Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology (JSTD). The participants from Bulgarian side included representatives of the Stephan Angeloff Institute of Microbiology of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, University of Mining and Geology “St. Ivan Rilski” – Sofa, Ruse University “Angel Kanchev” and New Bulgarian University

At the opening ceremony from Chinese side speeches were delivered by the Director General of JSTD Mr. Xu Guanghui, the Director General of the Department of International Cooperation of MOST Mr. Dai Gang and Mr. Cui Zhimin – Inspector 2^nd level in the Secretariat for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries at the MFA of China.

In his speech, the Consul General Vladislav Spasov presented the Bulgarian research and higher educational institutions. He underlined the importance of Bulgarian and Chinеse academic communities for the development of our bilateral relations and informed the audience about some of the achievements of Bulgaria-China science and technology cooperation. 

The Bulgarian participants at the 2nd China-CEEC Conference on Technology Cooperation and Exchange had the opportunity to renew their contacts and establish new ones with Chinese researchers from their corresponding scientific areas.
