The Exhibition “Bulgarian Monuments under the Protection of UNESCO” is on display in Nanjing, Jiangsu province

On 9 June 2023 the exhibition “Bulgarian Monuments under the Protection of UNESCO” was opened to visitors in Qinhuai district of Nanjing – the capital city of Jiangsu province. The exhibition is a part of the 19th Cultural and Natural Heritage Day and exhibitions from Indonesia, the Republic of Korea, Chile and other countries participate in it as well.    

The activities of 2023 Nanjing Cultural and Natural Heritage Day were officially launched with a ceremony in the East Zhonghua Gate of the Historical Culture Block – one of the most popular entertainment places in Qinhuai district of Nanjing. During holidays, the place is visited by approx. 600 thousand people per day. Present at the ceremony were the Consul General of Bulgaria Vladislav Spasov, the Vice-Mayer of Nanjing Mr. Sun Baijun, the Mayer of Qinhuai district Mr. Li Jiangxin and other Chinese officials and foreign diplomats.  

The exhibition will welcome visitors at East Zhonghua Gate of the Historical Culture Block for a week, and afterwards will be displayed at the Qinhuai Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum in Qinhuai district of Nanjing for another month.

The exhibition has been realized in collaboration between the State Institute for Culture at the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Shanghai and Nanjing Qinhuai District Government.
