As part of an official diplomatic delegation the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria H.E. Mr. Grigor Porozhanov was a special guest at the the Opening Ceremony of the Fifth Silk Road International Exposition held on May 11, chaired by Wang Yi, State Counselor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of China.

The Photo Exhibition "Fragrances from Bulgaria", curated by the National Cultural Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, is now available online on the website of the Jinan Municipality International Relations Office, as well as on their official Facebook and Twitter.

On May 6-7th 2021 the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to China, H.E. Mr. Grigor Porozhanov, was guest of honor at the Rose Festival in Jinan city, Shandong Province. During the festival, Ambassador Porozhanov presented the Photo Exhibition "Fragrances from Bulgaria" of the National Cultural Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria

On April 28, 2021 the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to China Grigor Porozhanov held an online meeting with the management and students of the Hebei International Studies University, after which the students learned interesting facts about our country through a lecture on "Bulgarian culture and traditional arts" by the director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Veliko Tarnovo - Mrs. Iskra Mandova. The Ambassador and the university President expressed their satisfaction with the development of teaching Bulgarian as a second foreign language at Hebei International Studies University. The lecture by Ms. Mandova on "Bulgarian culture and traditional arts" presented brief information about Bulgaria, presented Bulgarian holidays, traditional rites, Bulgarian ancient treasures and archaeological monuments, Bulgarian cities and major tourist sites.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to China H.E. Grigor Porozhanov visited Yunnan Province as part of an official delegation organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.

The students from the Foreign Language School affiliated with Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) have a lasting interest in Bulgaria since the Bulgarian Ambassador to China Grigor Porozhanov visited the school and had a speech during the Opening Ceremony of "Close Contact between Two Distant Countries" - the thematic exhibition on the occasion the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and China.

The Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria participated actively in the annual charity bazaar "Great Love Without Borders" at the initiative of Ms. Qian Wei, wife of the Chinese State Counselor and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi.

The ice configuration of sculptures "Sea of Roses" represented Bulgaria to the Chinese audience at the "Ice Festival" in Harbin, as well as online, thanks to a video about the configuration, prepared by the Foreign Affairs Office of Harbin Municipality. As this year's edition of the traditional festival is on the topic "Countries of Central and Eastern Europe", Bulgaria is given special attention.

On March 3, 2021, the staff of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Beijing, together with the Bulgarian community in China, celebrated the occasion of the National Day.
