Visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria H.E. Mr. Grigor Porozhanov to Beijing Foreign Studies University

The Embassy affiliated Bulgarian School “Cyril and Methodius” celebrated the successful completion of the 2020 / 2021 academic year.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria Grigor Porozhanov Made Opening Remarks at the Inauguration Ceremony of the Online Club of SME Cooperation between Europe and China

Due to the recent new strains of the COVID-19 virus around the globe and in line with the continuous efforts of the Bulgarian government to curb the spread of the virus in the country, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Bulgaria has issued a new ministerial administrative order defining the entry regime and the categories of citizens allowed to to enter Bulgaria.

The Bulgarian side actively participated in the Public and Cultural Diplomacy Project of the EU Delegation to China – EUPOP, namely in the part „European Virtual Museum“. The Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in China facilitated the promotion of virtual tours of three Bulgarian museums.

June 2 is the Day of the Bulgarian National Liberation Heroes. This day commemorates the Bulgarian liberation poet Hristo Botev and the other heroic Bulgarians who died for the liberation.

On the occasion of the International Children's Day - June 1, on the initiative of Ambassador Porozhanov's spouse - Mrs. Kamelia Kiriy, the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria organized a charity exhibition of artworks created by the Art Group of Ambassadors' Spouses in China.

As part of an official diplomatic delegation the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria Grigor Porozhanov was a special guest at the the Opening Ceremony of the Fifth Silk Road International Exposition held on May 11, chaired by Wang Yi, State Counselor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of China.

On the occasion of May 24th - the Day of the Saint Brothers Cyril and Methodius, and of the Bulgarian alphabet and culture, the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to China Mr. Grigor Porozhanov and his wife Kamelia Kiriy held a reception for Ambassadors. The guests were introduced to the history of the Bulgarian alphabet.

The Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Beijing follows an active environmental protection policy. In this regard, in May 2021, the Bulgarian Embassy installed on its territory an electric car charging station. This makes our Embassy the first among all Bulgarian missions abroad with this type of installation.
