Entry Regulations for the Republic of Bulgaria valid until July 31, 2021

Due to the recent new strains of the COVID-19 virus around the globe and in line with the continuous efforts of the Bulgarian government to curb the spread of the virus in the country, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Bulgaria has issued a new ministerial administrative order defining the entry regime and the categories of citizens allowed to to enter Bulgaria.

The ministerial order РД-01-374/27.05.2021 has a validity until 31.07.2021.

According to its provisions Chinese citizens shall be admitted to the territory of the country, upon presentation of one of the following documents:

- a document showing a negative PCR test result taken up to 72 hours prior to entering the country or a negative RAT test taken up to 48 hours before entry into the country;

- a document showing a completed vaccination scheme against COVID-19;

- a document showing that the person has already had COVID-19 (a positive result of a PCR or a RAT test proving that person is in the period from the 15th to the 180th day from the date of the positive result).

* The new ministerial administrative order renders obsolete all previous requirements, for example, the requirement for a special letter from the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Bulgaria as a prerequisite for application for business visa.
