On March 1 Consul General Svetoslav Stankov and eight other Consuls General of EU Member States met with Mr. Serhiy Koledov, Consul General of Ukraine.

In terms of the meeting the EU representatives demonstrated their solidarity and support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. All participants condemned the unprovoked aggression and invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine and expressed position that war must stop immediately, giving peace and diplomacy a chance.

Mr. Stankov stressed that Bulgaria and Ukraine are connected with the large Bulgarian historical diaspora living in Bessarabia, Tavria and Donbass, as well as with Bulgarian support to Ukraine for an immediate EU accession perspective.
