Presentation of the book "The Biographer" by the Bulgarian writer Stefan Kisyov at the Consulate General in New York
On February 23, 2023, the Consulate General hosted a presentation of the book "The Biographer" by the Bulgarian writer Stefan Kisyov. His new novel is an exciting and innovative account of the life of Constantine Cyril the Philosopher. The main character is a ninth-century biographer who writes a biography of Constantine the Philosopher and embarks on a journey to Rome, Venice, Constantinople, Pliska to study his life and work.

On January 31, 2023, the Consul General in New York and his family represented Bulgaria in an international fair at Public School 267 in New York. Several hundred students, accompanied by their parents, visited Bulgaria's stand and learned about its rich culture and traditions.

Screening of the documentary “105 Minutes Sofia – the History of the City” at the Bulgarian Consulate General in New York
On January 24, 2023 the Bulgarian Consulate General in New York hosted the screening of the full-length documentary “105 Minutes Sofia – the History of the City”. The film follows the historic stages that the Bulgarian capital went through to get to its present look – from the first artefacts discovered near Sofia dated 6000 BC till nowadays.
