Founded in 1925, the Society is one of the oldest and most respected consular organizations in the United States. It brings together representatives of the world's largest consular corps and is dedicated to fostering cooperation among foreign consular missions and promoting New York City's international engagement.
During the ceremony, members of the Executive Board were presented with Certificates of Appreciation by the outgoing President of the Society, Ms. Maia Bartaia, Consul General of Georgia, in recognition of their service. The event was graciously hosted by Mr. Gerardo Díaz Bartolomé, Consul General of Argentina.
The re-election of Consul General Angel Angelov is a recognition of Bulgaria's active contribution to the work of the international consular community in New York and of the Consulate General's sustained efforts to strengthen cooperation with the city's diplomatic and consular corps.
