On March 23, 2024, the Consulate General in New York hosted an event with the participation of young people from the state of Massachusetts who are part of the non-governmental organization "Stone & Compass".

For about a decade, the organization has had its educational center in the Bulgarian village of Stolot and organizes a trip for hundreds of American youth to summer camps.

The Consul General Angel Angelov and his wife Juliana Angelova welcomed and introduced the guests to the role of Bulgarian diplomacy in New York, as well as to a number of authentic Bulgarian traditions such as kukeri, martenitsi, and also the alphabet.

At the end of the meeting, the young people had the opportunity to try Bulgarian pie, cheese and local delicacies.
