The Consul General of Bulgaria in New York Mr. Angel Angelov was honored with an invitation to be one of the two speakers at the annual training of leaders by the American Jewish Committee (AJC) in New York. The topic of the discussion was cooperation with diplomats and politicians. The president of AJC Marjorie Kuhn, as well as the AJC team for cooperation with Bulgaria, led by Francine Port, also took part in the event.

The training was held together with the Manhattan Borough President Mark Levin, who shared his experience as head of the local government in Manhattan and supported the views expressed by the Bulgarian diplomat on effective communication.

Mr. Angelov paid special attention to the active cooperation of the Consulate General in New York with AJC and thanked for the support provided by AJC leaders in organizing a series of events by the Consulate General to mark the 80th anniversary of the rescue of the Bulgarian Jews during the Holocaust.

The leaders of AJC expressed their high appreciation for the cooperation with Bulgaria, and in particular with the Consulate General in New York, and expressed gratitude for the shared ideas for enhancing their joint work with diplomatic missions in New York.
