On January 17, 2024, the Consulate General of Bulgaria in New York hosted the musical concert "Schubertiada", which took place within the framework of the "Bulgarian Concert Evenings in New York" (BCENY) Initiative. This is the first in the series of classical music performances for this year, in which Mariana Karpatova, mezzo-soprano, Randal Scarlata, baritone, Georgi Valchev, violin, Laura Chekoratova, piano and Caitlin Sullivan, cello, took part.

This series of concerts presents classical and contemporary chamber music performed by local and international artists. Since its creation in the fall of 2005, the shows are performed with the help of volunteer musicians from Bulgaria and most of them are without charge.

The Consul General of the Republic of Bulgaria Angel Angelov welcomed the guests and invited them to take part in upcoming cultural events in New York, related to Bulgaria.

Once again, the guests of the "Schubertiada" had the opportunity to enjoy the amazing performance and brilliant technique of the musicians and singers, who caused unforgettable emotions and tons of compliments.
