During a meeting with the Director General of the Presidential Library A. Vershinin various possibilities of a potential partnership between the scientific establishment and our diplomatic mission in St. Petersburg, as well as with other Bulgarian institutions, were discussed. It was decided that the first joint event in the city will be a photo exhibition dedicated to the Russian-Turkish War of 1877-1878. Mr. Vershinin also proposed establishment of working relations with the National Library "St. St. Cyril and Methodius".

Considering the library’s main activities and the fact that the building was originally the headquarters of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, Mr. Vershinin received the Bible and a book on the diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Russia, both written in Bulgarian.
