Welcome to the official website of the General Consulate of The Republic of Bulgaria in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation!

The consular mission of The Republic of Bulgaria in Saint Petersburg is working to develop and strengthen the friendship of Bulgaria with Russian Federation in the consular district, which is now covering Saint Petersburg, the regions of Leningrad, Pskov, Murmansk and Novgorod and the Republic of Karelia.

There has been a trend in recent years to strengthen the relationship between two countries in the field of education, trade and economic cooperation, technical and scientific cooperation and culture. This tendency has also been observed in the tourism industry. The number of Russian tourists from Saint Petersburg and the Northwest region of Russian Federation who are traveling to Bulgaria have been increased significantly.

The primary goal of our mission is to ensure succession and professionalism in order to strengthen and to extend sphere of the mutually beneficial cooperation between Saint Petersburg and Bulgaria.

Our priority is to provide competent and quality consular services in time, to support the Bulgarian society and the development of the Bulgarian Sunday School “Zakrila” to the General Consulate. The collaboration with the local institutes in a context of the membership of our country in the EU is of a great importance to us.
