Veliky Novograd celebrated its 1157th year

Celebrations marking the 1157th year of the city Veliky Novograd were held on the 11th and 12th of June. At the invitation of the mayor Yuiriy Ivanovich Bobrishev, guests were representatives of the city hall of Stara Zagora and officers from the CG of the RB in St. Petersburg.  

During the conversations important topics to accelerate mutually beneficial bilateral corporation were: tourism, trade, culture, education and sport. It was emphasized to prudently establish the relations between the two parliaments of Veliky Novogrod and Stara Zagora. The celebration was attended by the Governor of the region.

Addresses to the audience by the deputy mayor of Stara Zagora Krasimira Chahova and  the Head of the GC were part of the official ceremony. A song about the bravery of the Colonel Kalitlin during the defense of the Samara Flag was played by the artist Berdos Kirkorov. After the celebration concert the exhibition “Engravings, lithographs and photographs of the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878” in the gallery was opened.
