Bulgarian consular service in Moscow issued a record number of visas01 June 2011 News
In the first five months of 2011 the Bulgarian Consular Office in Russia has issued 53% more visas compared to the same period in 2010 /56 050 visas/ and 106% more than in 2009 /41 410/. Since 25 May the average daily amount of issued visas has been 4000, while on that day the number of issued visas has reached the record 4760. After the May holidays, some 1500 individual applicants have been received in the head Visa Center, which represents an increase of over 100% for private trips year to year.
As of May 25 the Consular Service works with longer office hours and starts accepting visa applications from 8.00 a.m. Issuance of documents continues till 9:00p.m.- 9:30 p.m.
The opening of a second temporary visa center for accredited tour operators has greatly facilitated work with individual applicants and up to present there have not been any complaints by citizens and tour operators.
