On February 11, 2019, a meeting of Polish President Andrzej Duda was held in Warsaw's presidential palace, with Ambassadors accredited in the Polish capital of the Three Seas Initiative and US Ambassadors of the same countries. Bulgaria was represented by Ambassador Emil Yalnazov. On the same day at the US Embassy in Warsaw, on the initiative of Ambassador J. Mossbacher, a working seminar of the US Ambassadors accredited in the States participating in the Initiative was held, including the US Ambassador to Sofia, Mr. Eric Rubin. The Warsaw Ambassadorial Forum was organized with the assistance of the Atlantic Council of the United States.

Bulgarian participation in the traditional Christmas charity bazaar of the diplomatic corps

On December 9, 2018, the traditional Christmas charity bazaar of the diplomatic corps was held at the Mariot Hotel in Warsaw. Christmas charity auction is organized annually by the Association of Wives and Spouses of Ambassadors accredited in Warsaw (SHOM) under the patronage of the wife of Polish President Ms. Agata Kornhauser - Duda and aims to raise funds to help needy children, women and older people in disadvantaged position.

Revelling of a Memorial Plaque in dedicated to the employees of the Bulgarian Embassy in Warsaw in the period 1939-1941

On December 7, 2018, a memorial plaque of black granite was officially opened at the embassy in Warsaw as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Bulgarian-Polish diplomatic relations, in memory of the Bulgarian embassy staff who worked there in the 1939- 1941 - Krum Tsokov, Trifon Puchlev and Dimitar Ikonomov. As is well known, these three employees, at risk of their lives and personal security, were involved in the so-called Group B, operating simultaneously in Warsaw and Sofia, with whom many Polish citizens managed to emigrate from occupied Poland to Bulgaria and other countries. According to the historical data, there were soldiers and persons of Jewish origin among the Polish citizens who were saved in this way.

Bulgaria and Poland celebrate 100 years of diplomatic relations

On behalf of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva, Yuri Sterk addressed the participants in an academic conference dedicated to celebrating the anniversary. The forum, which took place on December 6 and 7, is organized by the Bulgarian Embassy in Warsaw and Warsaw University under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva and Poland's Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz.

Participation of the Embassy of Bulgaria in public consultations in Warsaw’s district of Białołęka

Ambassador Emil Yalnazov together with Embassy staff and the Bulgarian Cultural Institute participated in public consultations with the residents of Warsaw Białołęka district at the invitation of the mayor and the municipality on the 17th of October. The event took place on the occasion of the forthcoming construction of a recreation park next to the street, bearing the name of the Bulgarian poet and revolutionary Hristo Botev. The meeting is attended by Deputy Mayor of the Region, Marcin Adamkiewicz, who thanked the Embassy's contribution to the work of the municipality for the upgrading of the new metropolitan neighborhood. The project, developed with the participation of the Embassy, includes the shaping of part of the park as a place to honor the memory of the patron of the street Hristo Botev. It is planned to place a bust or a memorial plaque in his honor, Bulgarian roses. After approval at municipal and urban level, the project should start in 2019 with funds from the municipal budget and European funds.

At the invitation of the Leh Walesa Foundation, the Bulgarian Ambassador to Poland, Emil Yalnazov, attended a gala concert and reception at the Gdansk Opera, dedicated to Lech Walesa's 75th anniversary, and 35 years since his Nobel Peace Prize.
