Deputy Minister Irena Dimitrova held bilateral consultations at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the Secretary of State of the Republic of Poland Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk on 19 April.

The main topic of discussion was the Russian military invasion of Ukraine and the refugee crisis. Ways to counter, including strategic communications, countering misinformation and a unified response within the EU and NATO, were discussed. Ways to make full use of the potential in bilateral relations in specific areas were discussed.

The two deputy ministers signed a new four-year Program for Cooperation between the Governments of Bulgaria and Poland in the Field of Culture, Education and Sports. The document provides for a number of cultural, educational and sports programs.

During the visit, Deputy Minister Dimitrova and the accompanying delegation held a working meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Poland Margarita Ganeva and the team of the Bulgarian Embassy in Warsaw.
