Bulgarian Embassy in Beirut participated in a one-day project aimed at awareness raising for minors related to their responsibility for saving the environment at a local level.

On 25 April 2024, a team of the Bulgarian Embassy in Beirut participated in a one-day project aimed at awareness raising for minors related to their responsibility for saving the environment at a local level.   

The Project is organized by the EU Delegation in Beirut and is part of activities for development of sustainable processes at a local level. The project started with garbage cleaning of polluted forest areas, situated at the beginning of the Dalboun Forest in the Chouf area of Lebanon and concluded with planting of young trees by representatives of the EU-Delegation and the Missions of EU Member States together with students from local schools. The project was attended by representatives of the missions of Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia and Finland. The EU Delegation in Beirut was represented by its head, H.E. Mrs. Sandra De Waele and her team. The project is part of the EU agenda related to the EU Neighbours South programme.
