On 11^th March 2024, a team of the Bulgarian Embassy in Beirut and representatives of the Lebanese Heritage Foundation in Kaslik, Lebanon, signed a Grant Agreement for the implementation of a project "Let Us Preserve a Collection of Precious Liturgical Icons". The agreement triggers another interaction with Lebanese partners within the framework of the Bulgarian Development Aid Program.

The project aims at preservation, restoration and digitization of 188 liturgical icons dating from the 17^th century and onwards.

The involvement of over 200 students from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Lebanon, in the activities of the project will contribute significantly for raising awareness among the young people for the national cultural heritage while developing their sense for ownership for its preservation as well as deepening their need for education, culture and spirituality.
