Ambassador Yuri Sterk visited the Bulgarian community in Haifa

On November 22, 2011 the Bulgarian Ambassador to Israel, Yuri Sterk and his wife Radiona Nikova met with the leadership of the Organization of Jewish Immigrants from Bulgaria in Haifa and the North and with other members of the Bulgarian Jewish community in the city of Haifa. The visit took place at the invitation of Mr. Harry Sessler, a prominent friend of Bulgaria and President of the above-mentioned Organization.
In an exceptionally warm and cordial atmosphere ambassador Sterk spoke about the current political and economic situation in Bulgaria and presented the favorable conditions and opportunities for doing business and tourism in the country; he also answered questions from participants in the meeting.
During the visit Yuri Sterk and his wife also paid a visit to the University of Haifa They met and had a discussion with University’s President, Professor Aaron Ben-Zeev and the Rector, Professor David Faraggi, about opportunities for cooperation between their academic establishment and Bulgarian universities.
Mr. Sessler accompanied his guests on a tour of the Reuben and Edith Hecht Museum located at Haifa University Campus and of the beautiful Dr. Reuben Hecht Promenade, two important projects to which Harry Sessler is a major contributor himself.
