Meeting of H.E. Angel Banjov with representatives of the Jewish non-governmental organization B’nai B’rith International in Geneva

On 17th March 2026, at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Bulgaria to the UN and other international organizations in Geneva the Permanent Representative H. E. Angel Banjov met a delegation of the Jewish non-governmental organization B’nai B’rith International, headed by Mr. Daniel Mariaschin, Chief Executive Officer.
The meeting is a traditional one and was requested in the context of the excellent long-standing relations between the Republic of Bulgaria and B'nai B'rith International.
The two sides noted the close bilateral relations between the Republic of Bulgaria and the State of Israel. They emphasized the role of the rescue of the Bulgarian Jews during the Holocaust as an example and inspiration in the fight against anti-Semitism and shared the understanding that anti-Semitism has no place in the international organizations.
Current issues from the UN agenda and that of the other international organizations in Geneva were also discussed during the meeting.
