On 3 July 2021, the Permanent Mission solemnly celebrated the end of the school year at the Bulgarian Sunday School "Dr. Stamen Grigorov" at the diplomatic mission in Geneva.

The school in Geneva was founded in 1984 and is one of the oldest Bulgarian schools abroad, as well as one of the first whose diplomas are recognized by the Bulgarian Ministry of Education. It educates children from first to twelfth grade.

Regardless of the challenges of the pandemic situation, the students from the Bulgarian school, under the guidance and care of their dedicated teachers, successfully conducted their training in Bulgarian language and literature, geography and history.

The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Bulgaria to the UN Office in Geneva, Ambassador Yuri Sterk, the school principal, Ms. Antoaneta Jeleva, teachers and parents from the Parents' Council welcomed the primary and secondary school students and their parents.

Ambassador Sterk presented the diplomas to the students and encouraged them to continue enjoying the school, to cherish the Bulgarian language and culture and to aspire for further achievements.

The diverse literary and musical program prepared by the children contributed to the good mood of the celebration.
