Conference "Bulgarian Studies - Past, Present and Future: Biographies, Circles, Institutions" was held in Poznan on November 18-19, 2019.

On November 18-19 of this year at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, with the participation of the Bulgarian Embassy, ​​an annual conference of Bulgarian scientists and teachers from Poland and Bulgaria was held on the topic: "Bulgarian Studies - Past, Present and Future: Biographies, Circles, Institutions". The conference was organized by the Slavic Institute of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Poznan, with the support of our Embassy in Warsaw, as part of the annual plan for the Communication Strategy of the Republic of Bulgaria to the European Union. The conference was met with great interest by the Bulgarian-Polish linguistic community, attracting over 60 participants from academic centers in Poland, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic.
The forum was initiated by Professor Tomasz Mizerkiewicz, Dean of the Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology, who emphasized the significant place and role of Bulgarian studies in the academic tradition of studying Slavic languages ​​at the University of Poznan. In his speech to the forum, Bulgarian Ambassador Emil Yalnazov addressed the participants with an appeal to continue the good traditions in the study and dissemination of Bulgarian language, literature and culture, and to contribute to the relations of friendship and spiritual closeness between Bulgarians and Poles. The representative of the Ministry of Education and Science Mr. Nikolay Nikolov read a congratulatory address from the Minister of Education and Science Mr. Krasimir Valchev.
