Opening of the school year at the Bulgarian Sunday School "Dora Gabe" - Warsaw

On September 14, 2019, the new school year of the Bulgarian Sunday School "Dora Gabe" was opened in a festive setting in front of the Bulgarian Club in the Embassy Complex on 4 Bobrovietska Street in Warsaw. The ceremony was attended by Bulgarian Ambassador Emil Yalnazov, Director of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute Mrs. Kalina Stancheva, Embassy staff, teachers and parents.

At the beginning of the celebration, the national anthem followed by "Walk the Revived Peoples" sounded. In his address to the attendees, the new Head of School, Mr. Spasimir Domaradsky, thanked him for his trust and shared his plans for expanding and enriching the school's activity during the new school year. It is planned to expand the extracurricular activities beyond the curriculum by creating groups for the study of Bulgarian music, folk dances and more. It is expected that about 40 children will be educated at the school during the new school year.

In his welcome, Ambassador Emil Yalnazov extended his heartfelt greetings to the students, teachers and parents on the occasion of the first school day, wishing them further success in mastering the Bulgarian language and preserving and spreading the Bulgarian culture and identity. Welcomes the future active participation of the school in the network of Bulgarian Sunday schools abroad.

The Ambassador presented gifts to the students and teachers from the Minister of Education, Mr. Krasimir Valchev.
