As Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Montenegro, I welcome you to the official website of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Podgorica!

On it you will find up-to-date information about Bulgaria and Montenegro, our bilateral relations, as well as the information you need on consular and visa issues.

The Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Podgorica was opened in December 2006 and we are proud to say that our country was among the first to recognize the independence of Montenegro, announced on June 3, 2006.

Montenegro is a country with ancient history, rich cultural and historical heritage and unique nature.

The bilateral friendly relations between our two peoples are an excellent prerequisite for the establishment of even more intensive contacts and connections in the political, commercial, economic and cultural spheres, as well as to provide assistance from Bulgarian side with political and expert experience in order to accelerate the process of reforms and European integration of this friendly country.

Following the priority of the Bulgarian foreign policy for a European perspective and integration of the Western Balkans countries, especially successfully implemented during the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2018, the Embassy is actively committed to work for its implementation within the framework of our bilateral relations.
