On 7 March 2024, a team of the Bulgarian Embassy in Beirut and representatives of the Gibran National Committee signed a Development Aid Agreement aimed at continuation of the fruitful cooperation with the Gibran Museum in Bshari through projects dedicated to preserving the heritage of Gibran Khalil Gibran. The Agreement is concluded in the framework of the Bulgarian Development Aid Program for Lebanon. 

The current project is focused on rehabilitation, conservation and maintenance of paintings of the world famous painter, writer and philosopher as well as at a further significant improvement of the conditions in the Gibran Museum. Project related activities allow for the involvement of local students, thus contributing significantly for the generating sustainable socio-economic processes with multiple positive and lasting impacts for the region of Bsharri.
