The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Lebanon Boyan Belev presented his credentials to the President of the Lebanese Republic Michel Aoun on March 5. During the talks that followed the ceremony the two discussed the state of bilateral relations.

A day earlier, Ambassador Belev also presented copies of his credentials to the Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Gebran Basil. During their conversation the two discussed the planned visit of Minister Basil to Sofia as well as the coming visit of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev to Lebanon.

Ambassador Boyan Belev will head the Bulgarian Embassy in Beirut after a five-year absence of a full time ambassador.
